Heat, water, quiet
After the sea, the steam. The house spa extends a beach day the Djerbian way: traditional hammam, massages, treatment cures and jacuzzi, a few steps from your room.

Wellbeing, the Djerbian way
In Djerba, the hammam did not arrive with the hotels: it is a ritual the island has practised for centuries, between steam, a scrub and rest in the shade. The spa at Dar El Bhar follows that ritual as it is, without trying to reinvent it.
Treatments are booked on site, at reception: the team arranges your moment around the time of day and your mood, between two swims or before dinner.

The hammam, done properly
A true hammam is a sequence, not just a steam bath. This is the one the house follows, inherited from the island's bathhouses.
The steam
You enter the humid heat in stages: the body warms up, the skin opens, breathing slows down.
The kessa glove
The scrub by hand, vigorous and precise, that leaves the skin new. It is the heart of the ritual, passed down through generations.
The rest
You finish lying down, wrapped up, mint tea within reach. The body cools down slowly: that too is the hammam.
