Data controller
The data controller is Hôtel de charme et spa Dar El Bhar, Zone touristique Sidi Mehrez, Mezraia, Djerba 4180, Tunisia. For any question about your data, or to exercise your rights: [email protected], +216 75 757 350.
Data we collect
When you send a booking request, a review or a message through the online assistant, we receive the information you type in: name, contact details (email, phone) and the content of your message. No data is collected without your knowledge, no sensitive data is ever asked of you, and the site sets no advertising cookies.
Why we use it, and on what legal basis
Answering a booking or information request: steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract. Publishing a review: your consent, which you may withdraw by writing to us. Measuring site traffic: your consent, given in the banner. Keeping records tied to an invoiced stay: our legal and accounting obligations. This information is neither sold nor passed to third parties for commercial purposes, and is never used for targeted advertising.
Who receives this data
The hotel team, first. Acting as processors on our behalf only: LOGFILE STUDIO, the technical provider of the site (online assistant, receipt and follow-up of requests); OVH SAS, which hosts the site on servers located in France; Google, for traffic measurement, only if you have accepted it. If you book through the online booking engine, the information you enter there is processed in order to set up and confirm that booking.
Processing outside the European Union
The hotel is located in Tunisia: your data is processed there, in a country not covered by an adequacy decision of the European Commission. If you accept traffic measurement, Google Analytics also transfers data to the United States, under the Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU / US Data Privacy Framework. We keep that transfer to the strict minimum: truncated IP address, no Google advertising signals, no personalisation.
How long we keep it
A request that goes no further: 3 years after our last contact with you. A booked stay: for the length of the guest relationship, then 10 years for accounting records only, as the law requires. A review: for as long as it is published, removed at your request. Traffic statistics: 14 months at most at Google. After those periods the data is deleted.
Cookies and analytics
With your consent only, we use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages interest our visitors. No Google script is loaded and no analytics cookie is set until you click "Accept" in the banner. You can change your choice at any time with the button at the bottom of this page. Here is everything the site keeps in your browser:

Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, erase, object to, restrict the processing of, and receive a portable copy of your data. You can withdraw a consent already given at any time, without affecting what was done before. Write to [email protected]: we answer within one month. If our answer does not satisfy you, you may lodge a complaint with the Instance nationale de protection des données personnelles (INPDP) in Tunisia or, if you live in the European Union, with the supervisory authority of your country.
